Bresco Supports Education Through Cooking
Today was a very special day over here at Bresco Headquarters!
We had the honor of delivering a very exciting donation to a special education classroom at Vestavia Hills Elementary Central! Mrs. Tittle has been using kitchen supplies to teach her students important life skills, mathematical skills, and more. The students have a coffee cart that they use to deliver coffee to the teachers in the morning, and they have cooking group every Friday. During cooking group, they learn about measuring and reading and following instructions. We are so excited to be able to facilitate these important learning opportunities! As Mrs. Tittle says, “Our class cooking group gives students the opportunity to apply academic skills to a real-world activity. These skills include counting, adding, subtracting, measuring, following directions, and sequencing, just to name a few.”
“We are so excited! BRESCO’s gift will be used in our weekly cooking group. This generous donation will enhance our student’s’ ability to practice this functional activity. In addition they are counting, adding, subtracting, measuring, following directions, and sequencing, just to name a few skills. We can’t thank BRESCO enough!!” – Mrs. Tittle
The lessons Mrs. Tittle is teaching her students are truly invaluable and we are so proud and honored to have been able to donate a few kitchen supplies to the classroom for the students to use in their cooking group!
